Parents want the highest quality education for their children in all areas, and sex education is no exception. Abstinence-only-until-Marriage programs are well funded and prevalent in many communities in Georgia. However, these programs often contain misinformation, fear and shame.

Comprehensive sex education is medically accurate and age appropriate. It teaches the benefits of delaying sexual activity as well as contraception and disease prevention. These programs have proven to delay initiation of sexual activity and ensure that precautions are used once sex is initiated.
