Our Goal is to educate and involve parents in the sex education their children are receiving at school and to advocate for comprehensive sex education to be taught in Georgia schools.
We all want to raise healthy, responsible, and well informed teens who become successful adults. The U.S. has the highest teen pregnancy rate in the developed world, twice as high as in Canada and 4 times as high as England and France. We know that we can do better!
Over half of Georgia's teenagers report engaging in sexual activity prior to graduation. Teens need and want comprehensive sex education so that they are able to make future choices without being limited by disease or unintended pregnancy. An essential component of comprehensive sex education is teaching the benefits of delaying sexual activity using healthy messages while also covering pregnancy and STD prevention.
